All prices listed above will
have a fuel surcharge added based on the Department of Energy
Weekly Retail On-Highway
Diesel Price index. The surcharge will apply to each
item. This surcharge is to cover the fluctuating
cost of fuel used in the daily operation of the pit. In addition
to the fuel surcharge a 1% environmental fee will be added to the
fuel surcharge to cover the cost of meeting regulatory
agencies requirements. Example 10 CY of Construction Debris
brought to the landfill is invoiced at $4.50 per CY for a total
cost of $45.00, the DOE Price Index for that week was $4.30 per
gallon based on the surcharge
chart the surcharge is 16.55%. 16.55% plus 1% environmental
fee = total surcharge of 17.55%, in this case an increase of $7.90
on the service purchased.
Mini-Wheel
